Black Russian produces beautiful black sunflower seeds. The plant can grow to be 12 feet tall with 15 to 18-inch heads. Black Russian is gorgeous in the garden but also has multiple uses. The leaves can be cattle food and the stem fiber can be used to make paper. The dried stems can also be a substitute for firewood.
