Double Rich was developed in 1953 by A. Yeager at the University of North Dakota and the University of New Hampshire. This meaty 4-ounce red tomato is noted to contain twice the amount of vitamin c, compared to other tomatoes. The plant has lots of foliage, creating plenty of coverage for the fruits. Double Rich is an excellent variety for canning and juicing. Grow this variety if you are looking for a tomato with fewer seeds and great for canning.
