This dark green gourd is 10 – 16 inches long and weighs 7 – 14 pounds. Maranka is shiny with a hard shell that has knobby protrusions and a curved neck that tapers at the stem end. It will grow straight however if supported. This beautiful gourd is edible when at 8 inches in length.
